Rosenborg and Swedish club Djurgården have supposedly agreed on a transfer for the Swedish U21 player Mikael Dorsin. The left back is looking forward to going to Trondheim.

Dorsin has turned 22 years of age, but as Norway often has done, Sweden uses the rules that say he can play during the U21 EC in Germany. When the EC is over, the Swede shall be ready to discuss his personal contract with Rosenborg.

Last summer, French Strasbourg wanted to buy Janne Saarinen off of RBK, but the Finn chose to go to 1860 Munich. The French then hired Mikael Dorsin instead. The Swede played 19 league games this season, but Strasbourgh did not want to prolong the loan deal or to make the transfer permanent. Hence, Dorsin is now back in Djurgården.

But the stay in Stockholm seems to be of short term. The current Swedish league masters are supposedly already in agree with Rosenborg about a transfer:

"I have been noted that the clubs are more or less in agreement of the transfer details," Dorsin's agent, Anders Carlsson, says to Swedish broadcaster TV3.

"We are in a dialogue with Djurgården," RBK Sports Director Rune Bratseth confirms to Norwegian Internet daily VG Nett.

The player himself seems more than interested in a change of clubs:

"This is a very good solution for Dorsin. He will come to a big club that are intent upon re-entering the Champions League group stages," his agent ascertains.

PS! Sweden's U21 team has reached EC's semi finals. If they get at worst number three, they are qualified for the Olymics late August. Then Rosenborg will have to do without Dorsin for some weeks.
