Rosenborg must face the Sheriff

Sheriff surprisingly lost 0-1 in their away game against Jeunesse Esch yesterday. But after the 2-0 victory at home last Wednesday, they advanced, and the Moldovans will meet Rosenborg for two games.

The midfielder Manuel Cardoni became match winner at Stade de la Frontiére in Esch-sur-Alzette, but that did not help much for Jeunesse Esch; Sheriff Tiraspol managed a combined 2-1 victory and passes on to the next stage.
This means that Rosenborg meets Sheriff in the 2nd qualifying stages for the Champions League. The home game is to be played at Lerkendal coming Wednesday - July 28th - at 20:45 CET, while the away leg in Moldova will take place Wednesday in a forthnight - Aug 4th.
Norwegian broadcaster TV3 has already secured the rights to send Rosenborg's home matches in the 2nd and 3rd qualifying stages, and are the favourites to get the rights for both the away games as well.
