I was rude enough to change your topic title from "Tippeligaen 2011" to "Tippeligaen 2012"...

Sorry! I was replying to several topics at once.

I guess we're in a new position - we won't be favourites for once with Molde winning last year and their squad talent and depth. When you add the financial situation, will second be acceptable this year?

I don't think that we should settle for any lesser metal than gold, although once in a while, (every ten years or so) I guess a silver could be acceptable. Wink Now I realise that reality is a bit different, but we should not be content with a season like the last one. We were way to unstable in our performance and only luck in the very last round saved the bronze.

As far as Molde is concerned, they will have to face the ever difficult follow up season after a league trophy. I think they could get a hard time this season if they don't perform well from the start.

We on the other hand need a bigger squad, first of all we need a right back and a striker. We still have money left to spend after we sold Bakenga so financially it should not be a problem. Alas, with the current sports director who knows...

And we need an established attack pattern, under Jönsson we have been way to static wich makes us very predictable and easy to stop. But even with these shortcomings silver is not acceptable, come summer and we are not in the top 3, Jönsson could very well find himself looking for a new job.

Rosenborg were a team in transition last season, and sort of still are, but I expect an improvement this season.

Even though Rosenborg were away to Stabæk, the bottom club were never going to test their ability to perform after the team’s European success mid-week. Stabæk had lost 16 of their first 20 league games, with Rosenborg having lost none of their seven games played after an international fixture this season. Then again, losing haven’t been Rosenborg’s problem this season - winning has. While recording only one league loss so far, they had not yet reached double figures in terms of wins, instead drawing half their matches before Monday’s game.

With that hard-fought win Rosenborg go past Strømsgodset into second place, two points behind Molde. But this is where the fun really starts.

In the three next rounds Molde is faced with arguably the three toughest games imaginable in this league. After the international break they will first travel to Drammen to meet Strømsgodset on the artificial pitch where the hosts are undefeated this season.

They will have to play on another artificial surface when they travel to Tromsø two weeks later, the northerners also undefeated at home.

In-between those gruelling away games Molde host none other than Rosenborg. While Molde won the cup tie between the two teams this summer, they have lost all three league games against Rosenborg since Solskjær has been in charge.
